Takeshi

Location: Earth Prime, Kantu Region

Silhouette:  Appears as a typical Japanese chef but appearances can be deceiving.
Attitude:  Generally friendly unless provoked.
Defense:  If the characters try to attack, swindle, cheat, or show disrespect of any kind, Takeshi will activate an Alien Energy Cage Projector.  All in the party will be captured. Takeshi will be long gone before the capture device needs to be recharged.
Special:  Expert in military devices
Treasure:  Golden figurine of Maneki Neko (grants access to Atsuko, The Geisha Guardian)
Background: A yatai is a small, mobile food stall in Japan typically selling ramen or other food.  One particular yatai travels the Kanto Region is run by Takeshi. He not only has ramen but trades in technology, weapons, and rare elements. Takeshi never discusses trade before ramen.  It may be difficult to find him as he is a wanderer. When exploring this area, draw a card.  An Ace will ensure that you encounter the Yatai.

Exploring the Kanto Region -  Saitama Prefecture

The Wandering Yatai 

A yatai is a small, mobile food stall in Japan typically selling ramen or other food.

One particular yatai in the Saitama area not only has ramen but trades in technology, weapons, and rare elements.  The owner of this yatai is Takeshi. It may be difficult to find him as he is a wanderer. When exploring this area, draw a card.  An Ace will ensure that you encounter the Yatai.

If the characters tell Takeshi of their quest to find the LDP research facility, he will give them a golden figurine of maneki neko (a beckoning cat) and tell them: "Go to Tokyo.  Seek the Mamoru clan.   Show them this token.  You will be allowed to speak with Atsuko, The Geisha Guardian."

Takeshi never discusses trade before ramen.  If the characters order some ramen and compliment the chef, Takeshi will trade: Chain Sword, Fire Bomb, Energy Knife, Combat Armor

If the characters also order tea or sake,  Takeshi will also trade: Daikyū Yumi, Hankyū Yumi

If the characters pour a glass for Takeshi and toast “kanpai”, Takeshi will also trade: Micro-Edged Hand Fan, Bio-Retro Virus, Environmental Field Device

Takeshi will mention that he is looking for a Resistance Chip.  If the characters have one, Takeshi will offer the location of the LDP Healing Project in Melbourne for trade.

During this encounter, If the characters try to attack, swindle, cheat, or show disrespect of any kind, Takeshi will activate an Alien Energy Cage Projector.  All in the party will be captured. Takeshi will be long gone before the capture device needs to be recharged.
